Kia Fight

I have finally finished my first official game. Actually, the only reason I say "official" is because some computer games I have created in the past were really cool, but very much unproffesional. In a nutshell, the game was for a contest on gmclans, to make an uber cool boss battle. The boss is based off the antagonistic character from my current project, Idimmu. His name is Kia. He is an earth squid. He summons the mighty armor of Kingu to defeat you.

Here is the link to the download.
My highscore is 533. I could probably do better, but I don't have time right now.
Enjoy!

Recently I have been developing a project with Nobody, a somewhat famous dutch guy who uses game maker, as well as I. It is mainly part of a battle, where team members were matched up randomly without much of a choice. I kept talking to Jolly(the judge) about how awesome Nobody is, so maybe he just instinctively matched us together as a joke? I don't know for sure, but here is a screenshot for you.

As you can pretty much see, he did most of the spriting. I was a bit forced into his spriting style, but meh, I don't really mind that much.

About the time when school started, my mom brought home a collection of books, which she apparently got from one of my friends. It is called "The Adventures of Remi," and depending on which translation you are reading, it can have a different title. Some people might know it as "Nobody's Boy." Neverthless, I find it to be quite an interesting book. Its mainly centered around the quality of choices, and how making one choice can make you regret another. Some people may argue that in the book Remi had no choice whatsoever, but I feel it emotionally impacted me with a feeling of choice and consequence. I save this book as a reference to writing anything in old english.
I have also completely redone my spriting style. I used to suck horribly, but now I get the hang of all of the rules to apply 'n such. Here are some examples of my work.
